Title: Jesse & Horace Goldsmith - Rotherfield

I'm trying to find any info on my grandfather's (Walter Goldsmith) brothers : Jesse (1892) and Horace (1894) Goldsmith. Jesse was born in Rotherfield and Horace was born in Frant and they were sons of Joshua Goldsmith and Ruth Taylor.

It's possible that Horace died in 1968 and is buried in Frant. I would really like to know whether they married and if there are any surviving relatives.

Thanks for the reply. As is often the case it's harder to find any info on people after 1901 unless there are relatives still living who have memories or documents going back a hundred years.

The only other information I have is from my father who remembers when he was a small boy, in the early 1920's, going to visit one of his uncles, probably Horace, who had a butchers shop in Tunbridge Wells.

Hi there

Got to agree about its harder to find ancestors after 1901.

One of the ways is through the street directories of the day, usually found in most libraries; especially as your father remembers visiting a butchers shop in Tunbridge Wells - they have just got to be in the directory.  Another avenue is through electoral registers, again kept in the local library.
Lastly, have you tried looking for Goldsmiths in todays phone books in the area in which they lived in early 1900's (Tunbridge Wells) if any appear, take the bull by the horns and give them a ring
