Title: Discharge Papers

I am wondering if there are any discharge records still surviving for those who served in the Royal Artillery from 1893 to 1905.
I was hoping to find a forwarding address for a man who was discharged in 1905 having served 12 years.

Any help would be most welcome

Surviving records will be on Findmypast. It is hit and miss if an intended residence is given. If he served 12 years in uniform rather than (say) seven in uniform followed by five in the Army Reserve you have a better chance.

You should also check Ancestry as he may have re-enlisted for WW1. It may have been in a different regiment.

Thanks for your reply. I have a service no for this man its 96084. He enlisted on 25/02/1893
He was home from 15/02/1893 to 11/12/1893'
Hong Kong 11/12/1893 to 06/12/94
Malta 07/12/94 to 02/10/97
Bermuda 03/10/97 to 02/12/1901
Halifax 03/12/1901 to 11/10/1902
Home 12/10/1902 to 24/02/1905
Discharge on 24/02/1905

I think he may be a relative but I'm not sure. Would he have been in receipt of a pension do you think?

These are from his (discharge) record. They came to FindMyPast via the National Archives and the pension department.

They should give his next of kin, and details of any wife and children.
