Title: Morrison/Ogle
Post by: jenn270 on Wednesday 04 December 13 16:46 GMT (UK)
Awhile ago I located a record for James Ogle Morrison, son of George Morrison & Barbara Ogle, christened 1810 in Earsdon by North Shields, Northumberland. Wanting to verify this information I have tried in vain to find it again but have had no success whatsoever. Can anyone help? If anyone has any information at all abut this family it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you SO much!! Is that Hewith Parish for the father...the writing is a bit faint and I'm not familiar with the parish names. I tried looking it up but expect it has been included with other parishes now.

Thank you! Are you saying that the parish name may be Heworth?
Pardon my ignorance, but is Annabell a child or the name of a ship?

I don't know if it's relevant to your family researches, but there's a village called Ogle near Morpeth, with the very old Ogle Hall, after the original family
My parents lived in the village ?1970 to 1990..

Thanks, Tricia! You just never know how the dots will connect so I'll keep this in mind. Thus far can only trace back to the mid 1700's.

My Granny was Isabella Ogle and I've traced her branch back to 1750. For information the Ogles in Northumberland go back to 1066. There's plenty on the internet about the Northumberland Ogle family.   Rob.

Thank you, Trish! I think Barbara Ogle's mother was Elizabeth Jubb. I am guessing there were more children than these as none seem to have been born in the 1780's but it's hard to know for sure. I certainly appreciate your help!!
