Hi
I'm sure I have seen on here that someone has access to burial records for Treorchy Cemetery...is that right or am I dreaming? I am trying to check if some family members are buried there and also if it's possible to find the location of graves so we can visit.
The names I'm looking for are Abraham and Mary Howells from Pentre who both died in 1926. Appreciate any help.
Thanks, Gaynor

hello gaynor.
If you telephone treorchy library and ask for the reference dept. ask the woman in there could she do a look up on these numbers for the cemetery abraham interment is 32671 and mary is 32975 .
she most prob scan them and pass them on by email for you.It will show who else is in the grave with them and if you go and visit the cemetery call in the monumental place by the cemetery they have the grave plans there and maybe they could tell you as to where they are buried.
Treorchy library tel is 01443773204

Hi Jere
Thanks for that, that's really helpful. At least I know that they are buried there...seems like half my family are all in the same place so a visit is definitely needed! I spoke to someone at the cemetery a while ago about some other family members buried there and apparently they will put out markers if you let them know what day you are visiting.
Thanks again, Gaynor :)

I got all the information that I wanted from here:

A link to Treorchy library.......... I think that they referred me to Rhondda Cynon Taff bereavement services who have the information.
I was able to get the plot number and the burial certificate. You do need to have a death date for them to search for info. We went to the cemetery and although I was promised that the plot number would be marked for us, it wasn't, but a very helpful man was there and was able to guide us to the right grave.
Treorchy cemetery is very big and on the side of the mountain really, if you visit in the winter make sure you have warm clothes on, it's freezing.

If anyone still has access to the burial records for Treorchy Cemetery, would they be able to kindly check them for Susanna / Susan Evans. She died in the September quarter of 1904.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
