John Hartley Barker b 1825 Salford...
married Martha Collins  b 1824 Dunham Massey - they married 26th December 1858 at Manchester Cathedral ...my gg grandparents...
John was a Butcher by trade ...
Martha Ann Barker b 1861 Salford my g grandmother
the family came to Garston between 1861 and 1891....Martha married Joseph Ellis from Garston in 1887-their daughter Martha Ellis was my nan ...by 1891 census John Hartley Barker was in Runcorn - 8 miles away as a Butcher
I can`t find a connection ...but as I have stated previously - they were the only Barker I knew of in Garston ...I will ask around the family if any of Johns family moved here as well...My Aunty May is 86 and might have some info ?...my nan told me that she always travelled to Runcorn to see her grandad John Barker before he died ....

From what I know my Barkers moved from Toxteth area and were mixed up with the Poselthwaite family. For the one's who know more about Garston Herbert William Barker had a shop at the end of Garston Old road I believe.

Its not that shop ive been told but not sure were yet.

Can some one help me ive got the Barkers like this:

Herbert William Barker (1885) married Dorothy Fell
Farther William Barker (1856) married Emma Gerard - she re married in 1896 (Postlethwaite)
Farther George Barker (1831) married Mary Ellen had 11 children including Henry Septimus Barker .

So can some one confirm I have got It right with William (1856) to George (1831) I think it is. Also who George's parents were.
The other thing is I am not sure when William 1856 dies or where, as I cant track it down.
Any info is great or these or related family.

Thank you in advance :)

George Barker married Mary Ellen Laverty May 3rd 1854. Fathers, George Barker, book keeper and John Laverty, mariner (deceased) at Saint Brides. A witness was Dorothy Barker.

There are published trees for the family which I think you can view at http://www.mundia.com/gb/
