You will get Elizabeth's maiden name if you can order a birth certificate for a child. The youngest might be the best bet as you have a more definite age as he is 4 months. Have you looked at FreeBMD? It might be on there. It is an unusual name which is a good start.

Hi abewsh and welcome to rootschat
Unfortuantely helen has not been on here since 2006 but once you have another post you can use our personal message system and if she has not changed her email you may be able to contact her. Reply to this and that should activate it. You click on the scroll under her name.
Things have moved on since her initial query and www.freebmd.org is an excellent site now with very good coverage across that time and Janeada has found a possible marriage for you. You should be able to find the births of the children on there too.
Regards
Andrea

Hi...I was wondering if either you have a Frederick Bewsher, he was a tailor from Barton, Westmorland he married Mary Ann Gay in the 1870s and they lived at Toxteth park, Liverpool.
They had children William Henry Bewsher, Isabella Mary, Henrietta Gay, Frederick, Laura M, Elsie C and George. They moved on to Everton.
They seemed to move to the same places as your families so I thought there might be a connection.
Thanks
Jean
