My attempt.

Picture is coming up at 72 dpi, so is very hard to work on.  If you are able to scan at 300 dpi or better, it will produce a better result.

Hi Knockout,

The website you have used to shrink the picture, has reduced the quality as well as the size. This is fine for websites that do not allow posting of images.

You are better to upload the photograph to RootsChat by click on the attachments that will allow you to upload from your computer, this should give you a better quality image.

Regards

Sarah :)

Hi Knockout,

When you scanned at 300dpi the image size needs to be no larger that 500kb, you will need to make the image physical size a bit smaller until it is just under 500kb. Have a look at this for some more help http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,372537.0.html

This second image has also been reduced for 72 dpi, this website that you are using is designed to shrink to this size.

Regards

Sarah :)
