Hi all,
Anyone researching Frost families of Exminster & Morchard Bishop?
John son of Henry & Sarah bap 1825 at Morchard Bishop, married Harriet Galsworthy at Exminster. They both died there in 1900. Large family. Only have info about Ellen who in 1891 married Donald McLaren ( a soldier) who then joined police force in Flintshire.
Grateful for any info.
Thanks, Poppies

Hi,
I was just searching on rootschat, and found your information!
I am looking into the same people!
John Frost & Harriet Galsworthy
-- their daughter, Bessie, is our link to this family.
She married Richard John Way in 1876; died in 1897.
I found a death listed on freebmd:
Harriett Ash Frost, 1901, age 78, Newton Abbot.
I'll look through all the replies here - I think quite a lot will be helpful!
Thanks,
Charlotte

Hi,
Very pleased to receive your message.
I have been researching for many years and you are the first reply I have had from someone interested in the same family.
Have you been researching your family history for very long?
My husbands grandmother was Ellen Frost born Exminster 19 September 1870 to the said John Frost & Harriet nee Galsworthy, so a younger sister to your Bessie. She married Donald McLaren at Exminster on 25 December 1891. They had 11 children my late mother in law being the 9th. Ellen died on 23 October 1907 just 14 days after the birth of the 11th. child.
The death you found is not correct one.
John Frost died on 2 August 1900 and Harriet on 31 August 1900 and are buried in Exminster. They are the entries from the parish register.
I am willing to share family info.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Dorothy

Hi,
Thank you for the death details about John & Harriet.
We're in Canada, so we haven't done anything with parish registers, and have only been working on the family tree for a few years.
I was looking at some information on the IGI on the familysearch site. There are several Frosts in Morchard Bishop - marriages & baptisms listed. For example, Henry Frost, 6 Nov 1796, and marriage to Sarah Kingwell 27 Dec 1824. Maybe you've already seen all the records on there!

Are you still researching the Frost Family? I have gathered some more information and am in contact with another researcher. Have you any information on Lucy Galsworthy, illegitimate daughter of Harriet?
-
Hi my Frost line goes back from Jane Frost my Great Great Grandmother born 1809 - 1896 daughter of Henry Frost (born 15/2/1767-30/8/1820 Morchard Bishop) and Elizabeth Horwell. I am looking to find information on Henry Frost's siblings. Would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Elizlloyd
