I have lost track of this ancestor and I am hoping someone could help shed some light on her. The details I have so far is that she was born abt 1840 in North Weald Essex. I have found the 1841 and 1851 census where she is living in North Weald with her parents John & Ann Ellis. In 1859 she gave birth to a baby girl named Fanny in Harlow, Essex. On Fanny's birth record there is no father named and Elizabeth was recorded as having a middle name of Sarah. She had a Harlow address (can't make out the street name). This is the last I can find on Elizabeth or Elizabeth Sarah Ellis. Her baby Fanny was living with grandparents John & Ann Ellis on the 1861 census and with step relatives on the 1871 census. Fanny's marriage record to John Dorrington states that her father's name was Henry Ellis and that he was a publican. I have no idea whether there is any fact behind that. I suspect that it was made up. I would love to find out what became of Elizabeth.

1881 Census says she's born in Epping. The marriage was Sept qtr 1869 Strand Registration District, but unfortunately it's not one viewable on FindMyPast.

Thank you everyone. The marriage looks good. I rechecked the 1841 census and the family were living in Hastingwood Common. As for a baptism, the mystery remains. Elizabeth did have a sister Mary (who didn't!) who was approx 1 year older so that should be the baptism in St Mary & St Hugh Harlow. There was an older child James Ellis born in approx 1837-8. There is a potential birth record for him in Epping. dad John was an ag labourer so they may have moved around slightly for work perhaps. Again, thanks for the extra eyes. Sometimes you can search & search and just not see what you need to find.
