I have this photograph of my paternal Grandfather, and it is currently the only thing other than a name I have on him. I have a rough idea that the photograph was taken in the 1960's, although if anyone thinks different I would be interested to hear! I am also curious of his age, again I have made a few guesses, but I would be interested in knowing what anyone else thinks as it might help to narrow down my search possibilities. With him being a German relative, it has been near impossible for me to find much out about him.
Thanks!
Henning

I don't know enough about men's fashion to gander a guess there, but I wouldn't place this man to be any older than 25 in this picture. My guess is more like 22-23.

I would say mid to late 1950s - the windsor knot in the tie and the sports jacket are reminders of the Johnnie Ray era, In fact if you google Johnnie Ray there is an identical pic to your man.

That sort of hair style was still being worn in the early 1960s.

My immediate thought was 50's - early 60's. Hair style not quite right for the late 60's. agree with captain jim about his age. That makes him the same age as me at the time, Windsor knot, tweed jacket and all.
