Hi everyone
Later on today we will have photos of the Royal family showing four generations. I have a picture of my niece, my sister, mother , her mother my grandmother which is the four generations all female in my family. We also have a three generation photo of my great grandfather.
I was wondering if any other chatters had similar photos within their family tree records.
regards panda

I have no such photos - my mother's side of the family all died relatively young and my father's side couldn't afford a camera..... or something like that.
-
I have one very precious photo of my mother-in-law, two daughters ,myself and first grandchild. It's a very poor quality photo but still very special.

Good evening,
I have two, one is my father, grandfather, gt grandmother and gt gt grandmother.
The other is a little more distant, my gt uncle (on my mothers side) his son/grandson, (not sure which) his father (my gt grandfather) and his grandfather (my gt gt grandfather). A particularly splendid looking country gentleman with a huge white beard.

Good evening,
Just realised I'm had a senior moment, I also have one of ME, my mum, my daughter and my eldest grandson. Probably the most poignant of them as mum died a couple of months later. The first time she held him she asked why he couldn't have hung on another day so they could have shared a birthday.

Yes, I have one of myself, with Mum, her Dad, and his Mum.
Also a more recent one - My Mum, my brother, my nephew and his first child.
-
My mum used to love telling people when we were out with my daughter and her daughter - there are 4 generations here. Have several photos of mum, me, daughter and grandaughters.
Mum is sadly no longer around, but I now have a great grandson - so must get a photo taken of the latest 4 generations.

I have a pic of me as a baby being held by my great grandmother, with my mother and grandmother standing next to us. Great gran died when I was 2 years old so I can't remember her, hence the photo is very precious.
I also have a pic of my mother, my sister and I, my sister's son and his baby daughter.

And this week the lovely photo of Prince George's christening with the Queen, her son, grandson and great-grandson.
-
No photo - but I do have a census entry with four generations present at the same time (and the youngest is NOT an infant, either ... )
-
We have a 5 (although it's only 4 in my direct family - all female)
My nan (gr, gr grandmother), my aunt (gr, gr grandmother), my cousin (grandmother), her daughter (mother) and her son (child)
Also grew up as a 4 generation as was 12 when my great grandfather died
Never saw 4 generations as being that unusual tbh I suppose it's one of the benefits of growing up in a family who have children in their early 20s
-
We did have 5 generations all eldest girls aswell (until my great nan died last year)...that was my great nan, her eldest child (my nan), her eldest child (my mom), me (eldest child) and my daughter (also eldest child) x

I have a photo of 5 generations of our family - it was shown on RC about 3 years ago having gained the required permission from the people concerned :)
It shows my Mother (now nearly 95yrs old), her niece, gt niece, gtgt nephew and gtgtgt niece! I was able to gather them all together at a family wedding :D

I think you are lucky to have an older photo of 5 generations...4 is the norm I think as people didn't live as long as they do today...I have seen 6 generations in the local paper but you often find that in these instances the ladies were more often quite young when they became Mothers.

I have a picture of my daughter, myself, my dad and my grandmother (dad,s mum) taken when my grandmother came over to visit us in Canada also on the picture is my son.
Also have a picture of my only grandson, my daughter , me and my mum taken when my grandson was a baby.
I am sorry we could not get a 4 generation picture taken with hubby mother and grandson, but she did get to meet him just before she passed away and he was her youngest great grandson.
