Hello,
I am researching a couple who were living in Abbots Ann in 1742. Their names were Jonathan and Ann/e Lancley?lancly/Lansley. I can find no record of them having married in Hampshire so am now thinking they may have married in Wiltshire. The first record I can find for them is the Baptism of their son George Lancly on 17 September 1742 in Abbots Ann, Hants. They may well have married in Wiltshire and had children in that county before arriving in Hampshire. Would anyone have access to any marriage records for Wiltshire around 1735-1742 please. I would be very grateful.
Many thanks
Lainey

West,
Thank you so much for your help. You may have just helped me breakdown my 15 year old brickwall and find my 7X Great Grandparents. I have always had an inkling that my Lansleys were originally from Ludgershall, hopefully I am on my way to proving just that. Can't tell you how grateful I am.
Would it be possible to find out if Jonathan and Ann baptised any children in Ludgershall after their marriage in 1738/1739? I am especially looking for a Jonathan Lancly.
Thanks again
Lainey :-)
