I popped up there earlier to ask the guys is they could locate two graves for me (the grave locations in the GFHS cd do not correlate to the records they hold in the cemetery office unfortunately), and they told me that probably in the next month or so they will not be able to help people locate graves in the cemetery as the council are cutting back on the staffing there.
Anyone wanting to locate graves will from now on have to ring Bridgend council.
The office in the cemetery has a huge map of the place that has the graves individually marked with the plot numbers on them - I'm going to try and get back up there during the week to try and get a load of shots of the map so that if anyone gets a grave location, they can PM me and I can send them a copy of the map. I've got the burial CD here anyway, so I'm going to start plotting all the burials against the maps I'm doing right now - long old project, but I wonder if I can make a book out of it ;D

Good luck with that

Did you get copies of the map . I am looking for a plot C N 1113 . Difficult get hold of anyone in the office now as you've said .

I did, but my laptop died and I lost all my work!

It's a shame about the map . I have contacted Bridgend council (,burial officer ) and they have given me the row numbers so I can count it out .
