Title: Inquest on Thomas Blenkin April 1852
Post by: harton on Tuesday 15 October 13 09:30 BST (UK)
I found a report in the Newcastle Courant about an inquest on Thomas Blenkin in April 1852. He was hit by a colliery train and the inquest was postponed until a mining inspector could be there. I have no luck in finding the continuation of the inquest.
Can any one help? Thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

Have you contacted the county archives to ask if they hold the file?  Survival of such records is very patchy but you never know!

I checked the records at Northumberland archives today but what they have on Coroners’ inquests do not seem to go back to 1852.    Where did the incident take place and where did Thomas Blenkin live at the time?
