Title: Elizabeth Wright born 1839 Masham Yorkshire.

I am looking for the marriage of Elizabeth Wright born to William and Hannah Wright. She may have been married in the district of Leyburn North Yorkshire around 1860.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Leyburn was its own registration district but there is no marriage up to 1871 in that RD for Elizabeth

Why do you think she may have married around 1860?

How do you know she was born 1839 in Masham ?

There is no birth registration in Ripon or Bedale registration districts that cover Masham to 1839 and from 1839

Also cannot find her on 41 or 51 census with parents William and Hannah

What is the source of your information please

Sorry. It isn't Elizabeth Wright at all. I should have written Hannah Wright born 1839 to William and Hannah Wright in Masham.

This confirms what I have assumed from the records I have looked at. Is anyone able to look this up in the Parish records to confirm Hannah was the child of William?

Do you mean look the marriage up to confirm her fathers name was William?

If so - you need to know which church they married in.  It's not online at FS or Yorkshirebmd or Ancestry marriages

Yes you are right. I want to confirm from the marriage records that her father's name was William. Unfortunately I don't know any more except the registration district of Leyburn.
It may be that they were married where William Simpson lived which would be Pateley Bridge from census info.

Won't be Pateley Bridge - these are the areas within the Leyburn RD

More likely is Leyburn itself or Masham Moor - but which church

Thanks. I hadn't realised that PB wasn't in Leyburn district. I do know it wasn't Masham so it could have been Leyburn or any of the others!
