Just a small request if there are any researchers on here who live in the Poughkeepsie are of New York. I recently discovered that a cousin of my 3 x great grandfather (James Spice) emmigrated to the USA in the early 1900s and that one of his sons (John Wilkes Spice) was in the US Army during WWII. I have his enlistment card which shows that he was living at 156 Parker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York (in 1940). If this residence still exists I would be very grateful if anyone could send me a photo of it as I have no idea what this area looked like. If there are any relatives of John Wilkes Spice out there it would also be nice to hear from them as well.
Many Thanks
Matthew

Matt:
I can get you a picture of the old home if you are still interested. My Uncle Claude L. Spice lived at this address. Is he related to you too? He was my Grandmom's brother and born in Snodland, England. When she came over at age 18, she lived with Uncle Claude and his wife Lucy.
Let me know and I will get a picture.
