I'm trying to locate the final resting place of the following two people.
Mary Ann Clarke, wife of Herbert John Clarke
Born - 21 May 1871, South Creake, Norfolk
Died - 7 July 1942 in 11 Lower Cambridge Street, Loughborough
Henry John Clarke
22 March 1900, Melton Constable, Norfolk
10 Jan 1991, Loughborough
Any help in who I need to contact would be great.
Thank you ;D

Olleyke - have spoken to cemetery officer - she found:
Mary Ann Clarke in compartment 364 plot 24
no Henry John Clarke 1991 but she did find herbert John Clarke buried 17/1/1991 ocmpartment 373 /140 - is this who you mean? buried with Clara Clarke aged 88 years 9/11/1992.
i have a photo of Herberts grave. i couldn't find Mary Ann despite the markings for the numbers being very clear (she also sent me the map by email) there are several graves in a poor state in this compartment. i took a general picture.
if you send your email by PM i will send all info /pics.

Hi
Does anybody have a map of Compartment 96 in Loughborough Cemetery, my great great grandparents are buried in grave 40 and two of their children in grave 35. I contacted the council who sent me copy of the burial records for compartment 96 and also a map showing me where the graves were, however when we went to the cemetery the map showed grave 35 to be near Leicester road entrance near the central path before you get to the chapel, but none of the graves in that area matched the names on the compartment 96 I was sent, we moved across to where grave 40 should have been and the same thing, none of the grave matched.
I re-emailed the council but they have not replied does any one have any local knowledge that can help me.
My gggrandparents were Sabina & Frederick Adcock and the children buried were Walter & Fanny Hawkes.

Hi Diddy,
That would be great thank you so much.
I have attached the details for compartment 96.
-
Hi sorted. You had gone to compartment 40 & 35 & not those graves in compartment 96. The graves are exactly where the lady/ map said they would be. Each compartment includes many gravestones as on your map.
the path leading up to the little chapel is now just a broad expanse of grass. I have taken some photos of the grave (all in one plot) but also a general view including the chapel so that if you visit you can see exactly where they are.
Please send me your email by PM & I will send photos.

Hi Diddy,
I'm hoping you can help me - i contacted the cemetery office and they've provided me with grave references but are trying to charge me over £40 for the maps to go with them. I live in Loughborough and want to visit the graves - i know it's cheeky but would you mind sharing your maps?

I find that unbelievable! they have always been really helpful. Cant remember where I got these but probably the office in Southfields.

Yes I was very surprised when they asked for the money. It’s a lot of money to ask for someone trying to trace a family grave. I thought it was a bit distasteful really

I can’t figure out how to pm you :-\
