Title: railway employment records, Gateshead, Penshaw and Stockton
Post by: sootyjunior on Friday 20 September 13 10:04 BST (UK)
I would like to find the whereabouts of railway employment records for the period from 1870 to 1935. I'm interested in Henry Sutcliffe who worked in the railway stores in Gateshead, and George Sutcliffe who was a railway porter at Penshaw, then probably moved to Stockton, as his marriage is recorded there.
I'm also interested in New Penshaw itself, particularly the whereabouts of Pit Row, and any information about the station there.

You can see New Penshaw, Station, and Pit Row on the 1920 map at  http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html?coords=432115,553636
