Kia Ora
I am trying to trace the following ancestors
Through my grandfather's side I am trying to trace the following
Te Rarangi Te Kauri child of Rarangi Ketewhare. Te Rarangi married George Walker from Scotland who came over from Inverness in the 1800's they had a child called Hori Waaka who apparently according to the Ngati Raukawa trust board was known as Hori Ngawhare but I am unsure. He had 3 wives Panatita Te Awanui, Pare Tuhonoa & Tiki.
I am also trying to trace the following
Kotiro Te Hotene who married Hariete parents of Te Haehae Te Amo. Was wondering if anyone might know or share my connections to these people as well.
Also looking for paretuhonoa father's side through Ranguihewa or Ranguinewa Te Amo.
Also looking for these connections
Karora = ? (Trying to find my great great koro's wife)
Te Pakaru Wahanui Karora or Te Pakaru Te Reoiti (Son of Karora)
& Trying to fill the gaps with this whakapapa of mine
Te Ra = ?
Aukaha = ?
Kiritapu = ?
Tutanumia = Wiremu Hohaia (Trying to find his whakapapa which is ngati raukawa)
any help would be much appreciated

Hi there your story of this George Walker sounds similar to an ancestor of mine, I don't know too much history all I know was my Grandmothers father (I think) was a scotsman by the name of Hori Walker. My Grandmothers name was Cinderella Kinred (her married name, from her second marriage) I think her maiden name I am not quite sure might have been Matiaha this could have been her first married name though. We are from the Waikato area Ngati Raukawa. Please excuse my ignorance as I am only just learning about my family history.

Kia ora.
Did you get any further info?
I'm descended from Hori Waaka and Panatita Te Awanui and trying to trace whakapapa. I believe Ngāti Kirihika Hapū of Ngāti Raukawa Iwiw - though not sure if both 'Te Kauri' side and 'Te Awanui' side are Ngāti Kirihika, or just one. There's a lot of mention of Te Kauri, Waaka, Awanui and Kiritapu in this document which indicates Te Kauri and Waaka names as part of Ngāti Here. The document explains that Ngāti Here were a hapū of Ngamarama which occupied the Tauranga area before the migration of the main waka (Tainui, Te Arawa etc). Over the years the hapū of Ngamarama have been absorbed into Raukawa and Ngāti Ranginui (Ngāti Kahu, of Ngāti Ranginui was originally Ngāti Kahu of Ngamarama). Ngāti Here seems to have been absorbed into Raukawa - perhaps into Ngāti Kirihika(?).
