I'm struggling to find either a birth or a death for one Margaret Barrett.
Margaret was born in the Liverpool area and her date of birth is sketchy as it varies wildly over the different censuses.
She married Isaac Rollason (sometimes Rawlinson) in 1837 in Prescot, Lancashire before moving to the Aston area of Birmingham where I have located her in 1841 (age 30), 1851 (age 32), 1861 (age 40), 1871 (age 49) and 1881 (age 59). I'm starting to think she was probably around 20 in 1841 rather than 30.
In 1851 she is listed as a widow, though I've not found Isaac's death as yet, and she married John Newbold in 1857 in Birmingham. I believe she died pre 1891 census as on that one her daughter is listed living with John who is described as a widow.
I can't seem to find a death for a Margaret Newbold in the Birmingham area between 1881 and 1891 and drawing complete blanks on her birth!
Any help would be very much appreciated - I can no see the wood for the trees!

Hi Jme79!
Have you seen this death in March quarter 1841 on FreeBMD? - Isaac RAWLINSEN, W Bromich (ref 18 446). I don't know if they had children, is this too early? Or the right place?
I also noted this death:
Margaret Newbold
June quarter 1889, age 65
Aston (ref 6d 191).
I know the age is a bit out, but could be a possibility?
I was also wondering if you know Margaret's father's name and occupation from those marriages that you have? Does she mention Liverpool as her place of birth on all the census records?
Hope that helps?
Toffee :)

This looks like Margaret's death:
Newbold Margaret age 65

Hi
Think these are the marriage details
6 Aug 1837 at St Mary the Virgin, Prescot
Isaac Rawlinson: Minor, Glass Maker, Bachelor of Eccleston.
Margaret Barrett: Full age, Spinster, Eccleston
Groom's Father: John Rawlinson, Sailor
Bride's Father: John Barrett, Farmer
Witnesses: Thomas Carr and Elizabeth Boardman.

Yes, Claire is right, that is the correct marriage, though I hadn't seen all the details before now and I can see they are both stated as living at Eccleston and that gives me a little more to search on.
Thank you for the deaths info, certainly sounds right area/right time - I'll order certificate to double check.
Re her birth, all the census's say she was born Liverpool/Lancashire and she married at Prescot, just outside Liverpool.
Re Isaac's death - I would have expected it to be slightly later as their daughter was born in 1842 but I guess that Margaret could have been pregnant when he died? Though West Bromwich was quite far on the other side of Birmingham from where they were living.

Am also quite excited about discovering his father was a sailor, hope I can find out more about that!

Hi
I think the death registration March Qtr. 1841 for Isaac is incorrect, both Margaret and Isaac appear on the 1841 census, which was taken on the 6th June.

What about this death registration
Isaac Rowlinsin March Qtr 1846 Birmingham Vol. 16 page. 238

Think that one looks more likely Claire! :)
I did have a quick look at births on both familysearch and lancashire opc for Margaret, but nothing stands out yet.

Thank you, that death looks more promising. (If a death could ever look promising!). I'll order that certificate too.
So frustrating how much the name has changed.
Still struggling to find a birth, will try alternative spellings of Barrett today, just in case.
