Title: Sittingbourne Mill Worker
Post by: jibba on Saturday 07 September 13 11:51 BST (UK)
Hi

I'm trying to identify the gentleman in the middle of the front row in the photo below (with his arms folded).

The photo is from Cordell and Lee's Sittingbourne and District: A Pictorial History. The photo shows workers from Sittingbourne paper mill and was taken in 1945.

Does anyone know if any records of the mill workers that still exist that might help in identifying who this man was?

Thanks Grandarog!

Have sent a couple of emails over to those links, although both the Bowaters and HRGS sites are down. Hopefully they will be back online soon

HRGS has been `down` for quite some time now and before that it had been `hacked` so I don`t know what`s happening at the moment.
