Title: Advice please
Post by: Helina on Wednesday 04 September 13 16:30 BST (UK)
I am researching the Eagers  family from Dublin on behalf of a friend.   My friend was born in Leicester England but her parents came over to England from Ireland betweem 1939-1943.

She remembers visiting her cousins in Ireland but cannot remember their names.

Now is the Irish electical rolls on line for the 1950s?  Just wandering if she would remember their names if she saw them.

Any othe surgestions

Hello Helina, There  are 39  people  by the  name " Eagers"  in the on line Telephone  directory  in Ireland. If you friend  was to look at the names on there one or two might stand out.

Copy this link  into your  address  bar  and it will bring  up a  list  of all the "Eagers"  for you......

Good  Luck with your  searches.

Helina
Did you mean she couldn't remember their first names or surnames?
EAGER would obviously have been her Dad's name
Were the cousins on her Mum's side? then you would need the maiden name

This is a LINK (https://familysearch.org/search/record/results#count=20&query=%2Bsurname%3Aeager~%20%2Brecord_country%3AIreland%20%2Bbirth_year%3A1935-1960~) to familysearch.org for the births in Ireland from 1935 to 1960 with the surname EAGER

This is a LINK (https://familysearch.org/search/record/results#count=20&query=%2Brecord_country%3AIreland%20%2Bbirth_year%3A1935-1960~%20%2Bmother_surname%3Aeager~) to familysearch.org for the births in Ireland from 1935 to 1960 with the Mother's maiden name as EAGER

These could be cousins on her Dad's side

These names may ring bells - and you can search on the same principle with her Mum's maiden name if relevant

Hi
This might of be of help or not Dublin city electoral list 1939 to 1940
maybe some these names may ring a bell to your friend, would depend
when exactly they moved, sometimes people's names remained on the
electoral list if it was not updated.

Eagers surname 6 records
Eager surname 46 records
