You can download an application form at
http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/pa1s_0405.pdf
I think it is £5 or £6 each

The National Archives.  As you know the wills exist you should be able to get them downloaded direct to your computer.  I got one within minutes and it cost me three pounds something.  Reading it was a different matter!  My local family history society helped a lot, it's amazing the knowledge and expertise some of them have.

Only wills proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury (PCC) are held at the National Archives.

These wills (PRC) were proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury. They are not at the National Archives but are at the Kent History and Library Centre in Maidstone.

You can contact the archives for details of how to get copies.

This link takes you to the catalogue entry for the probate collection.

The wills are not indexed individually online. If you email the archives with the details, they will tell you the cost and provide instructions for ordering copies.

I have emailed them eventually at historyandlibrarycentre@kent.gov.uk
the archives@kent.gov.uk and eastkentarchives@kent.gov.uk addresses don't work
none of the searches give me any results
If anyone else can try the searches I would appreciate it
thanks
Paul

That is the correct address. It was on the page that I linked to in my post #7.

Not sure what you mean? The records themselves are not online. You have the catalogue numbers, and you can order copies of the wills from the archives, as explained above.
