Hello,
Now that I have the index information for my great-grandfather Robert Campbell's marriage, how can I access the parish register that shows more information such as the parents without flying to England from Canada? lol I have a subscription to findmypast and to scottishpeople and ancestry.
Marriage:
Robert Campbell
Elizabeth Thompson
Wirral/Cheshire in 1888 A/M/J Quarter
volume 8A page 654A

Hi Suzanne
It looks like the marriage register is still held by the church, you could try contacting them and see if they will provide information, otherwise you may need to purchase the certificate from the GRO

Hi Suzanne, Have you tried Cheshire BMD they could send you a marriage certificate for a charge of course. My family came from Frankby I have over 200 years of relatives living in the village I only live about 2 miles from the village myself having moved from Liverpool. Good Luck, James.

baptised in Frankby - parents Robert and Elizabeth Campbell
George 14th April 1889
Robert 11th May 1890
Jessie 3rd August 1891

apart from Robert Jnr ...could George /Jessie/Susannah have been named after a grandparent ?

Hello!
Thank you, everyone, for all the information. I was able to purchase the marriage certificate from GRO and have more information.
Elizabeth's parents are Alexander Thompson and Sussanah Briscoe and so, yes, one of Robert's children was named after the maternal grandmother. I have also found Robert's parents who were George Campbell and Anne McIntosh of Bonar Bridge, Scotland.
I am now going to try and find Robert's death certificate! The parish extractions do not contain much information though. Wish me luck!
Thank you again.
Regards,
Suzanne
