I was really looking for a death date for her please
What year did she marry - she was still single in 1871? www.freebmd.org.uk
When & where were the children born?
What is the last census you have found her on and where was she living at that time?
Have you looked for her death on freebmd?
Could her husband have died first and she re-married? You need to check freebmd as any death would be under her new married name

Hi LyndonRees,
I can see that there were three children baptised to Jane Tame single woman in Kingston Bagpuize (James 18-4-1852 and Ann & Lydia both bapt. 31-10-1858) but cannot find a Henrietta.
Do you have anymore info such as where Henrietta was born.

Hello
Last census I can spot them on is the 1871 for Abingdon at Oak St.indexed as Faine.
Jane Tame 39 looks like temptress but more likely seamstress Kingston Berks.
Lydia J 17 Oxford Oxfordshire
Ann 13 Kingston
Henrietta 9 Abingdon
Henry 41 brother lab Kingston.
On the 1881 census Henrietta is with her married sister Ann.
Have checked out the 1880 marriage to Robert Henry Martin at Abingdon and that Jane Tame was born in 1857.
There is a death age 35 Sep 1875 at Reigate 2a 85 but what would she be doing over there?
Ciderdrinker
ps Lydia Jane seems to end up out in Australia by 1884 married to a William Cowles.

I have no info on Jane Tames marriage to Alfred William Haynes/Hayes.Henrietta Tame was born 28 June 1861 Kingston Bagpuize. She died in October 1914 Abingdon. Ann Tame born 1858 Kingston Bagpuize married a Joseph Edwell 7 August 1879 Sutton Courtenay. Lydia Tame born 1854 Kingston Bagpuize died 1933 Australia. It's possible that Alfred was the father of all three daughters but never married Jane until much later?

There is a marriage in Abingdon in 1880 of Jane Tame but doesn't say who the husband is.

Hi LyndonRees,
The marriage you refer to took place in Abingdon St.Michaels church, and was for a Jane Tame, sp, aged 24, d/o John Tame, Maltster to a;
Robert Henry Martin aged 20, Labr, of Ock St, s/o Thomas Martin, Hawker.
Could it be that the Jane Tame born 1831 never married?
The only burial I can find is for a Jane Tame 23-1-1877 aged 52, Workhouse, Abingdon but this one is too old for the Jane your looking for.

Thanks for the info everyone. The info that was given to me regarding James Tame born 1852 to Jane was new info that i didn't have before. When i checked the baptisms only her three daughters appears but no James. Anyone have anymore info on him please? Jane probably never married so i don't know where to look for a death certificate, under her maiden name or under the assumed married name of Hayes or Haynes. Thanks again.
