Post by: annll on Friday 23 August 13 03:08 BST (UK)
Am looking for any information on the above surname from Waterford Ireland. My grandfather Joseph Quilty was born there in 1897 (approx). Married Bridget O'Brien.

From www.familysearch.org
Joseph Quilty -
birth - District: Waterford. Year: 1897. Qtr: 4. Vol: 4. Page: 635
marriage -  District: Waterford. Year: 1922. Qtr: 2. Vol: 4. Page: 396.  Same details for Bridget O'Brien.
With the above details you can order certs from the GRO in Roscommon. See  ordering certs from GRO  - www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=599538.0
On www.rootsireland.ie (pay) there is a baptism for a Joseph Quilty in 1897 in Trinity Without parish. Maybe up to eight other siblings. From the same site possible parents could be John Quilty and Mary Walsh married 1883 in St Patricks parish.  Of the streets listed in above post, Morgan St. and Mayors Walk would be in Trinity Without.
