Title: CATHOLIC PARISH RECORDS, DEPTFORD
Post by: RonGoose on Thursday 22 August 13 09:28 BST (UK)
Does anyone know where I can find the Catholic records of Our Lady of Assumption, Deptford,
1840s - 1900. The SOG in London have not got them, neither have the NWKFHS.

In my experience Catholic churches tend to hold on to their completed registers and so I would contact the church direct in order to find out what they still hold. Whether they are available to consult usually depends on how interested/sympathetic the Parish Priest is.

Thanks JDS, I think that might be the best way forward.

I have tried to contact this church by phone and email for quite a time now with no success at all. Let me know if you have more success! I also tried the Catholic National Library, who confirmed that any surviving records would be at the church. If you are close best get down there with a donation!
