 :D
Hi everyone. I haven't been on these boards for a while, but wanted to share my good news with you all. I have finally managed to trace my Grandfather! With the help of a few lovely people off this board and a couple of internet forums I had found him (or what I believed to be him) on the 1881 census but was then unable to place him until his marriage in 1905. Lots of possibilities, but nothing definite......until last week when my local paper released newspapers from 1890-1910 to view online. I finally found a report...well...3 actually naming him and giving his occupation and address.....so at last I had my man!
I want to thank everyone who has helped me here on the boards and on PM......your help has been invaluable.......I'm so happy to have found 'Taid' at last x

What a lovely ending for you! With a few 'unhappy' threads going on at the mo, it's great to hear of your success story & how much RCers have contributed to it.

Pat on the back to all who helped  :)
