Post by: arnaud on Wednesday 14 August 13 15:29 BST (UK)
The register is illegible although Ann's surname is written twice. It has been transcribed on frereg as Perry? Can Hawkeye,Suffolk Sue or you make anything of it please?

my take on it either perry or parry , certainly starts with a p me thinks if you look at the word parish directly above both look identical to me .

Whenever I've had a problem like this, I take a look at all the other baptisms, marriages and burials in the parish for about 20 years either side of the original event to see if anybody else had the same looking surname on a clearer image.

That's another of my transcriptions! ;) Just had another look... I would say that's a P, almost certainly, and ends in a y. I *think* there were other Perrys in the register, which is why I thought it could be Perry, but added the question mark to point out that it's not clear.
