For those looking (to save us all looking in up) -
In 1881 he is a 54 yr old widower, bn Tamworth. In household are 2 unmarried sons, Frederick 16 amd John 13, plus 14 yr old niece Mary Beech described as domesric servant.

William on the 1861 census born 1858 not on the 1871 or 81

No Sarah on any census

Don't discount Liz's 1891 info. as 46 Alfred St. is next door to Sarah Stallard & family who appear at no.44 in 1881.
Listing her as daughter may be an enumerator error.

thanks jim1, i will keep that in mind as on the 1881 census Mary Beech/Beach is Frederick's step daughter and not hes niece, because he married Eliza Beach in 1872 but sadly she passed away in 1879 and he become a widower again
