I was trying to find out the date of her 2nd marriage so that it could narrow down the date of teh 1st husband's death but I couldn't trace the marriage. I have searched the records for a marriage in just hewr name but there was no similar looking surname to that written. I think I have to conclude she did not get married in Scotland.

Thanks everyone for the opinions.

MS Hatton - my first thought was Halton but I think the initial "t" is missing a bit of the cross.
