Title: BREEN-LIVERPOOL
Post by: redkop on Wednesday 07 August 13 13:24 BST (UK)
Hi,

I have a Peter Breen b 1907, Liverpool. His parents were Peter Breen and Mary Rogers, and he married Ann Rosenthall.

I am trying to find more information on his father, Peter (b 1886, ?where), also his wife's family of Rosenthall.

Hi wife Ann's mother and father were Andrew James Rosenthall and Margaret McQuiggan.
Andrew's father was either James John or John James. I would like to know where he was born and when. Also, with a name like that, could the family have been immigrants?

Any information you can find would be very welcome.

T.I.A.

Have youfound the family in 1911? Sorry we cant do look ups.
Where does Peter senior say he was born?

I see the Peter Breen/Mary Rogers marriage was in 1903. If yr of birth is 1886, then he would only be 17.
The marriage cert would give his fathers name.

On 1911 index he seems to be on a ship

There is another peter Breen b.c.same time Liverpool but he seems to be in prison at the time of the census.

Marriage cert would give father's name and occupation
1911 census should show whether this Peter was married or not

Hi Oz,

thanks for your reply.

it wouldn't surprise me if they were at Ford Cemetery, but I don't think these Breens belong to me. My Peter b 1907 and died 1984. His wife Ann Rosenthall b 1908 d 1974.
Peter's father, Peter Breen b 1885 married Mary Rogers in 1903 Liverpool. Peter (b1907) had one child James b 1937 Liverpool, d 2008.
I can only find one brother of Peter b 1907, his name is Daniel b 1918 Liverpool, and one sister, Mary b 1905, Liverpool. I'm not sure if there was other siblings, and no nothing of these two.
I know there are a lot of Breens in the north part of the City of Liverpool, but as far as I know, my husbands family are the only one's in the south of the city, another reason the Breens you mentioned are probably not mine.

I hope this makes sense  ::)

Thanks again everyone for your help.
