Post by: curtiss on Tuesday 06 August 13 16:20 BST (UK)
Hello all

I am currently on holiday near Keswick and as my 4x great grandfather was from Greystokes I popped to the church to look how amazing it was and I got talking to the vicar and told him what I was doing and he borrowed me a book of the registers of the parish of greystokes in Cumberland baptisms marriages and burials 1559-1757 if anyone would like me to look for info for them let me know will have it for 3 days

Beautiful place and lovely people

Thanks

Curtiss

Future reference: a scanned copy of the book is available on familysearch; there is a copy at Carlisle Archives. Baptisms and marriages are already indexed in familysearch; burials are a work in progress (over 1500 transcribed so far, will eventually be on FreeReg)
