Post by: nzanniet on Wednesday 31 July 13 10:52 BST (UK)
Could someone tell me if it is possible to get a copy of an 1822 marriage that occurred in this parish.  I have come up against a brick wall and the details of this marriage my help me get over it.

Thanks

Hi

Have you got names? If you put them on here someone may be able to help.

What information are you looking for? As you probably know under Hardwicke's Marriage Act 1753, the information recorded in the register is the Parish, County, and year. the names of the bride and groom, the parishes they were from, the name of the Church, whether the marriage was by banns or licence, the consent of the parents if either of the couple were under the age of 21, the date of the marriage, the signature of the minister, the signatures of the couple and the signatures of the witnesses. Parents and Occupations are not shown.
