Hi, can some kind soul help me please ? I was sent the following info. way back in 1993 in the days when you could send proof of who you are plus a fee etc. to the MOD in Middlesex. It's been filed away until now !!
I'm trying to find any original records I can download of his service. I have his medal card.
This is what the MOD sent in their letter back then.....

Enlisted into the Kings Royal Rifles for the duration of the war and was issued with the service number 34786 - date 30.11.1916
Transferred to Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry - date not recorded
Posted to No. 1 Reserve Battalion - date not recorded
Transferred to Oxford & Bucks L.I. Depot - 27.12.18
Transferred to Class 'Z' Army Reserve on demobilisation 19.3.19
Overseas service..
India 6.5.17 to 27.5.17
Mesopotamia 5.6.17 to 10.8.17
India 18.8.17 to 20.1.19
I hope someone can make sense of it and point me in the right direction.
