George Matson, originally from Cork Ireland ( I hope), buried in Nova Scotia, Canada. My GG grandfather was Joseph Matson (b1865, Nova Scotia) married to Emma Flynn and passed in 1912. I am keen to learn of the Matson lineage and am hopeful to find more information from the other members of this site. Thank you

The 1901 census has Joseph being born in New Brunswick, but that might be because he is a lodger with his mother in law, who appears to have been born in NB - perhaps she just dittoed everybody in her household!
Year: 1901; Census Place: Saint John (City/Cité) King's (Ward/Quartier), Saint John (city/cité), New Brunswick; Page: 24; Family No: 197.

Marriage gives Joseph's birthplace as Halifax, N.S.

So sorry, yes it is the right family. George and Rebecca (buried in Nova Scotia) Their son, Joseph, is my great grandfather and is buried in the same cemetary in Halifax. His son, Arthur, is my grandfather and moved to Ontario, Canada in the early 1900's. I am amazed at the speed with which you can access this information. Thnk you again.
