I have found a death notice in the Launceston, Tasmania "Examiner" newspaper.
Launceston Examiner Wed 20 July 1881
DEATHS.
BURSTON—On the 19th July, at his residence, Brisbane-street, Mr William Burston, aged 72 years. (New Zealand and Bristol papers please copy.)
Would this mean that he had previously lived in both these places.
Regards
Garry

Thought there had to be some connection and I hadn't noticed the Tas State Archives entry.
Gives me somewhere to look now.
