Hi,
Im wondering if anyone can find 2 missing children from this family?
I have the 1911 census, which states that 8 children had been born, but only 6 were still alive. All 6 appear on the 1911 census, but i cant find any info on the 2 that dies - ie names, and dates of birth and death.
Hope you guys can help!
Thanks
Cate

-
Is this the correct couple,
Ellen Conway and William Blake,
marriage Liverpool register office or registrar attended 1893
-
Yep, thats the one
-
Were the family C of E or Catholic - makes a difference when looking for baptisms etc
-
Catholic. They were married in St Anthonys in Liverpool if that helps?
-
There are Catholic baptisms at St Alban's Liverpool for children of this couple:
Margaret born 27 Oct 1894 bap 3 Nov 1894
Katharine born 3 Nov 1897 bap 6 Nov 1897
William born 22 Sep 1901 bap 25 Sep 1901
Helen/Ellen born 30 Nov 1903 bap 2 Dec 1903
Catharine born 2 Mar 1906 bap 5 Mar 1906
-
So the two Catharine/Katharines seem to be missing from your 1911 list.
The elder was also missing from the family in 1901.

Yes - was just about to post that. The address I think is actually 23 Shadwell St, which matches the address on the baptism record.
-
Thanks so much guys!
I dont suppose you came across any children born after 1901 whilst you were looking?

The list already posted includes the baptism of the second Catherine, in 1906.
As Catherine Blake, aged 7 days, of 23 Shadwell St she was buried at Ford Cemetery on 11 March 1906.

Sorry, that was a mistype! i meant 1911!!

Have a look on FreeBMD for Blake births with mother's maiden name Conway in Lancashire.
There are two (1912, 1915) in West Derby registration district but the dates are borderline as to whether we can post them online - can't do so on Rootschat if they might still be living.
-
Freebmd can be used to search for Blake births from September qtr 1911 with mothers maiden name Conway
-
Ahh ok!
Thanks guys!!
