Looking for anyone who may be connected to the Meyer family that emigrated on the Reiherstieg in 1852 from Hamburg, Germany. They were Heinrich and Johanna and their four children - Heinrich (Henry) my wife's ancestor, Carl, Friederich and Ferdinand. I believe they settled in and aroud Newtown.
Henry married Margaret O'Neill and then Susan McGowan. Henry died in 1888 after drowning in Sydney Harbour. He lived at Millers Point and was a butcher.
Any information or assistance gratefully received.
