Title: Great War Nurse - who was she?
Post by: Jellis on Tuesday 02 July 13 14:13 BST (UK)
My grandfather died in France during the Great War.  I have a copy of a letter written to his widow by his nurse in 1917 just after he died.  I have been wondering if it would be possible to find out more about her; she signed her name as 'M Bannister Sister in Charge'.  I have looked at the National Archives but there are three possibilities.  Unfortunately as I don't know our nurse's first name I don't know if it is likely I can find out more.
