My ancestors include a family (Father Robert Lewis b 1741) where some (6) children were born between 1772 and 1786 at a place called Rhyd Loyw at Cerrigydrudion. I cannot locate that place on any map or find any reference to it elsewhere. :( Can anyone help please? Younger children were born at Pant Y Griafolen, Park, Llechwedd Llyfn and Craig Erchen all of which I have found.
The father Robert was born at Nant Y Rhyd, Cerrigydrudion which is another place I can't find; Help again !! :) The mother was Margaret nee Davies born at Ty'n Y Gilfach. (That one I have !!)
Thanks a lot John

It's probably a farm. I'd recommend using
http://www.bing.com/maps/
Which has OS maps available on the drop down where it says road.
Old OS maps are also at:
