I am looking for the death record of my g.grandmother.
Elizabeth Pearce nee Cunningham. B.6 Oct 1873 M.1 Oct 1891. to John Walter Pearce. They had three children.Elizabeth is on the 1901 census, living at home with her mother, her children are in care. They are the known facts.Elizabeth's husband was a soldier but what happened to him we are not sure of. Elizabeth is supposed to have tried to emigrate to the U.S. but was sent back as unfit. Elizabeth died of T.B. After 1901 as neither she or her mother are on the 1911 census relating to the home address. I have looked on the usual web sites but to no avail. Is there any other way I can find Elizabeth death record?

can you post a link to the census for Elizabeth (and her mother) - I dont see her on the 1901 census.
The best place to search for a possible death is the BMD Index on FamilySearch, and knowing the exact location might help. You would need to order certs from the GRO to check the full details.

I'm guessing this is your family - as Eliza Pierce.
Cunningham / O'Brien / Pierce household (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Westmeath/Mount_Temple/Rathduff/1775792/)
Townland is Rathduff, which is in Athlone registration district. So if Ellen and Eliza died in this area that's what will appear on the Index.

closest match for Ellen's death is this one :
Name : Ellen Cunningham
Event Type: Death
Quarter and Year : Apr-Jun 1906
Registration District : Athlone
Age : 54 (est. year of birth 1852)
Volume : 3 / Page : 14
might be worth checking to see if place of death is Rathduff, and also see if your Elizabeth might be the informant.

I still can't find the record.

I dont see any Elizabeth Pierce/Pearce death in Athlone district between 1901 and 1911. Are you sure she stayed in the area ?
This marriage showed up on a search - might be worth checking out :
Name : Elizabeth Pearce (also indexed as Pierce)
Event Type : Marriage
Quarter and Year : Oct - Dec 1903
Registration District : Athlone
Volume : 3 / Page : 13
there could be a vital clue in the index - there's also an Elizabeth Cunningham with the same references, so might be a 2nd marriage for your Elizabeth.

Thank you,I shall look at those. :)
-
the possible husbands for that 1903 marriage are : Patrick Hynds/Hymes, Michael Rigney, Patrick Cunningham and William Donoghue. Might be worth searching for them on the 1911 census..

Don't see Elizabeth on the 1911c. But do you think she would (if alive) marry again while her children are in care and she herself has T.B.
Is there any hospital records for such places and events?
-
I'd start with that possible marriage, and see if it's correct, e.g. place of residence, and father's name match, if so at least you have her new surname to try to follow up and see if she can be found on the census, or even in emigration records - e.g. Ellis Island.
