Note:      I don't believe the lady in question is only 10 years old ?

She was born 1972?  Do you mean 1872?

I think she must be older than 10 - if only that age, she would have worn her hair down, and would only have put it up in a "grown up" style at about 18 or so.

Could this be another relative?  This lady looks to me to be in her early 20's?
