Title: Johns family
Post by: 64aussie on Sunday 16 June 13 13:55 BST (UK)
Does anyone have any contact with any members of the Johns family of Portloe Cornwall who might be interested in family history.  Two of our ancestors were raised by Uncles and Aunts of the Johns family and we are interested to know if anyone has any information about these two boys.  Any help appreciated.

Cheers

I have been researching johns for our family tree, the Johns family I am working on we're from Cornwall and tended to travel around a bit, my wife's grandfather was a Johns from Wheal Rose around  Redruth , I have no idea how common the name is in Cornwall.

Hello, my Grandmother was a Johns, born Martha Johns near St Austell at Tregonissey with her two brothers Jim/James and I think Dick/ Richard, called "Dixie." They emigrated to the US around 1900 and settled in Concord New Hampshire, where she met my grandfather Royal Tennyson Brunel.

I think she was born about 1889. Her mother was a Blamey. She died at the end of 1987 I think and I'm not sure about Uncle Jim. They were both very long-lived.

There could be some connection?
