I wondered if anyone had any information on these four soldiers and why they are buried together, did some thing happen in Liverpool in July 1918,
I do not need any research into their backgrounds as they are not related to me in any way,
I am just intrigued as to why they are all buried together in Toxteth,

still doesn't answer your original question Radcliff - why are they buried together? I must admit I am intrigued now too :)

A relative of mine died in hospital in this country from injuries received in WW1. There is a memorial to him and several other soldiers in a local graveyard

Thank you both very much,I would like to find why they are together if possible,
but thanks again for your efforts, without credits I cant look at the memorial William Dean was a stoker ,yes, and is mentioned on a panel in the cemetery as is Mr Lane,so perhaps they are not buried there at all,and its just a memorial,

Toxteth Park Cemetery has a war grave plot, specifically for burial of the war dead
http://www.liverpoolmonuments.co.uk/warmemorials/toxpk/toxpk01.html
I think it means that the four names are recorded together on the monument (position on the Screen Wall), rather than all four men buried in the one space

Thanks Barbara I was just adding to my reply and missed yours, thank you very much,

hiya radcliffe.
these men are buried in soldiers plots, there are usually four to each small plot, within a larger soldiers plot, there are about 70 soldiers in toxteth cemetery buried this way,the rest of the war graves are scattered throughout the cemetery
