After your wonderful help earlier this week, I am hopeful for a bit of help again.
This is this last bit of the will, once proved in the Canterbury court.
It reads; ".... by the oath of Susanna Richardson ???? (See picture) of the deceased and sole executrix named in the said will...."
Susannah is the Widow of the deceased and the word used is definitely not widow.
Any help appreciated. Thanks

hi, is it Relict, this another name wich means widow. Dave

Yes, the "e" is strange but consistent with the document so it is Relict.

The OED gives meaning 1 c. The surviving partner (male or female) of a person. rare.

:D
Thanks to everybody for that one!
'Relict' isn't a word that readily came to mind, but does fit perfectly. I never noticed the dotted i before and i had it down as only 5 letter with letter 'h' where 'li' are.
With help this week, now completed my 6x Gt Grandfathers 1747 Will.
