I would appreciate any help with deciphering a word or two in this Will. To give context, the whole section reads, "Secondly to pay the premium and duty from time to time payable on a policy of Insurance granted by the Argus Life Insurance Company for insuring the payment of the sum of eight hundred pounds on the death of my sister Jane Wing which .....……... to me."
With thanks

I think the word after Jane might be her surname. I don't see 'which' in it at all.
Maybe starts with a C ? Are you sure it should be Wing?
??? ??? ???

I can't see 'which' either but I wondered if the word before 'to me' was compensation.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Jane's surname is definitely Wing. I've attached another image which has the word "which" from another section of the Will as a comparison. I'm afraid I couldn't make them the same size.
I think the author of this Will then made a small mistake and crossed out a few letters and it's the next word or perhaps even two words that I can't make out.

Wing which policy ___ to
vv.

Maybe which policy belongs to me, but not sure about 'belongs'.

Thanks very much vv. I really think you are correct about the word "policy" which makes sense in the sentence. Much appreciated as I have had this Will for many years without being able to decipher this very small section. Now I just have to work on that last bit!

Hi,
The missing words are "...which policy belongs..." "to me." The Testator in the present Will has to make a claim of ownership over his assets in order for them to remain part of his estate and permit those assets to be brought into the estate to be dealt with upon his death. He is asserting his claim to ownership in this item.
Hope this clarifies it for you.
