Title: COLLUMBINE
Post by: joybriars on Friday 10 June 05 22:20 BST (UK)
Am trying to trace family history.

Re: Dorothy Collumbine - now have more information

Mothers name Nellie nee Mills, Father Stanley, 15 Selwyn St, Rotherham
Nellie and Stanley also had son called Ralph born Aug 1929 - still Selwyn St

Nellie and Stanley married Aug 1923 at St Stephens Church, Eastwood.  He was a window cleaner.  His fathers name - Mark Collumbine - blacksmiths striker.  Nellies fathers name Joseph Mills - steel worker.  Witnesses were Joseph Mills and Hilda Collumbine.

Nellie Mills born July 1990 - Father -  Joseph.  Mother - Clara.  Clara Mills lived at 31 Broad Street, Rawmarsh.

If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it.  Hope this links with someone.

Am also trying to go forward now from 1946 when Dorothy Collumbine lived in Blackpool but am totally stuck.  I have found lots of Collumbines in Blackpool but I cannot get a link.  Can anyone help me please?

Not sure if this is what your looking for.  This family are listed as Cullombine.

1901 - RG13/4395 Folio 33 Page 8 - 137 Greasbro St, Rotherham

Mark Cullombine 35, Blacksmiths Striker, b Rotherham
Jane E 24, b Kimberworth Yorkshire
Stanley 1, b Kimberworth Yorkshire

There is another Mark Collumbine age 70 living on same street.

Hope this helps.
