Title: Maggie Curran death 1914
Post by: clazey on Saturday 01 June 13 00:37 BST (UK)
I received the death certificate for Maggie Clazey Curran who died in 1914.  She and her husband, Frederick, Barman, were married in st. Mary's Catholic Church in Sunderland.  That was in 1913.  Cause of death was extra uterine pregnancy and heart failure.  Frederick was present, address was Gt. Gaddesden and he is listed as a publican.  Is there a Catholic Cemetery where she would have been buried?

Thank you.

Hi,

If you do a free search on:-

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/search/parish-records/results?event=D

There is a burial of a Maggie Curran 1914 born 1881 at Great Gaddesden, to find the actual
place you have to purchase the details.

Maggie Curran age 33 of The Cock and Bottle Great Gaddesden was buried on 25th March 1914 at Great Gaddesden Parish Church.

AMENDED- Sorry have just had another look at the Parish register and it does in fact say COCK and Bottle as Ray suggested  :-[

Thank you so very much for the information.  It also answered the question I had about Frederick Curran's occupation, publican, and where!  She was the only sibling of my great-grandfather who remained until now rather a mystery!

Further updates on the pubs in that village are in the pipeline . . . . .

Not so much a typo Ray,but I misread the parish register this morning.

I must have been thinking of bottles and corks.
