I am looking for information regarding the Mullally family from the Claddagh. My ggrandfather was Luke Mullally ( b1850 ) who was marred to Bridget O'Donnell (b1856 ). They had 4 sons. John (1882 ), Michael (1883 - my grandfather ), William (1884 ), and Thomas (1893 ). They were all fishermen who lived in the Claddagh. My grandfather ( Michael ) married Annie Naughton ( from Salthill ) in 1917, following which they moved to Liverpool. William and Thomas followed and like Michael joined the merchant navy. As far as I am aware, John stayed in Galway. I think Luke's father was William ( who I have picked up from Griffiths ).Annie Naughton's parents were Patrick Naughton ( 1863 ) and Mary Burke (1874 ). Patrick's father was John, and Mary's father was John, mother Bridget (1841 ). If anybody has any information or leads I would be ever so grateful for your helps.
regards
Tony Mullally

There are no Mullallys listed for claddagh in the phone book but they might not have a phone, many families there don't bother. There are still about fifteen of that name listed in and around the city of galway though. There is still afamily of Naughton's who carry on the fishing business and the current boos would be Paddy who is about sixty or so the name patrick and john are prevalent in this family, and Paddy's father was also paddy (Padneen)
